A one-car crash that sheared off a light pole and cut power to a number of homes in Modjeska Canyon injured two Lake Forest teens, according to a news report.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the 17-year-old driver of a 2007 Honda traveling south on Santiago Canyon Road crashed into a pole and that his 17-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free the driver from the wreckage; both teens, who are from Lake Forest, were transported to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo for treatment of their injuries.
