At least one person has been injured in an SUV accident on I-405 in Costa Mesa, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said that a white GMC SUV and a black Mercedes-Benz were involved in a collision in the HOV lane of northbound I-405 near the North Harbor Boulevard on-ramp in Costa Mesa. The force of the crash spun the Mercedes, which wound up facing traffic in the northbound HOV lane.
At least one person was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Debris from the accident caused several northbound lanes of I-405 to be shut down for cleanup.
