A 69-year-old man has died and another man was injured in a broadside collision in Dana Point, according to a news report.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said that the collision occurred at the intersection of Golden Lantern Street and Selva Road in Dana Point when a Chrysler coupe was broadsided by a Cadillac Escalade.
The driver of the Chrysler — Thomas Raith, 69, of Dana Point — was pronounced dead at the scene. The unidentified male driver of the Cadillac Escalade was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fatal crash is under investigation.
