We here at Callahan & Blaine are very proud to be able to announce that our very own Dan Callahan and Ed Susolik have both been selected to the “Top 100 Lawyers in Southern California” list for 2010/2011, put out by Super Lawyers Magazine.
Unlike some other attorney awards, Super Lawyers uses a rigorous process to select the attorneys for its annual list, combining peer nominations and evaluations with in-depth third party research. Nominated candidates are then evaluated on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The result is a credible and comprehensive list of exemplary attorneys that can be used as a reference by those seeking expert legal assistance.
A little about Dan Callahan:
Dan is originally from Chicago, Illinois, where he received his BA, magna cum laude, from Western Illinois University in 1976. In 1979 he graduated with honors from the University of California Law School at Davis, where he served as editor of the University’s law review. Daniel founded Callahan & Blaine on St. Patrick’s Day in 1984.
In addition to his inclusion on the Super Lawyers Top 100 list, Dan has distinguished himself as one of the top trial attorneys in California and has repeatedly been recognized by his peers for his incredible accomplishments.
A little about Ed Susolik:
A native of Czechoslovakia, Ed graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in Philosophy, English and History. He went on to receive his law degree from the University of Southern California Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif and was an Articles Editor on the Law Review. Ed is currently chair of the Insurance Department at Callahan & Blaine.
Ed has wide expertise in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation covering the full spectrum of insurance law. He has been responsible for many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements over the years, and has obtained over $150 million in insurance benefits and settlements on behalf of our clients in the last five years alone.
Congratulations, gentlemen!
