A 35-year-old Laguna Hills man riding his bicycle in a crosswalk on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills was struck and killed by an OCTA bus, according to a news report.
Romeo Jimenez died an hour following the accident at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that Mr. Jimenez was riding his bike north across Alicia in the westbound crosswalk when the bus turned into him. The bus driver had been traveling south on Paseo de Valencia when he turned right onto Alicia and struck Mr. Jimenez.
The sheriff’s department said the investigation is ongoing.
