A man who was pushing his disabled car on the shoulder of I-5 in Mission Viejo has suffered major injuries after he was struck by another vehicle, according to a news report.
The California Highway Patrol said that the unidentified victim was on the side of his disabled Pontiac pushing it along the side of I-5 near Avery Parkway in Mission Viejo when a Ford F150 driven by a 62-year-old Mission Viejo man struck him. Two men who were assisting the victim in pushing his car said that the truck first hit the 29-year-old man and then hit the car. Neither of the Good Samaritans was injured; the victim was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo with major injuries.
