A 74-year-old Riverside man has been killed after his pickup truck was broadsided by another vehicle, according to a news report.
Riverside police said that Florentino Martinez was driving his pickup west on Victoria Avenue when a 2009 BMW traveling south on Gratton Street hit him, sending the pickup off the road and into a tree. Martinez was taken to a local hospital, where he was died.
Investigators said there is no traffic light at the intersection, but that traffic on Victoria has the right-of-way. The BMW driver was not injured.
