Six people have been hospitalized with minor injuries after an Orange County Transportation Authority bus crashed in a Newport Beach parking lot, according to a news report.
Newport Beach police said that the OCTA bus pulled into the empty parking lot of the Pacific Life Insurance Company at 700 Newport Center Drive, drove up a concrete embankment and crashed into a planter. Five of the eight passengers on board and the bus driver were taken to local hospitals with complaints of pain.
Investigators said the bus driver may have suffered a medical episode, but that was yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
