A 14-year-old boy has been killed after being struck by a car while on his skateboard in Placentia, according to a news report.
Placentia police said that Anthony Duran was riding his skateboard north on Rose Drive when he was hit by a car. Anthony was taken to a local hospital, and died approximately 12 hours later.
The driver of the car was taken to the Placentia police station and booked on suspicion of DUI. His identity has not been released.
Police are looking for any witnesses to the accident; those with information should call the Placentia Police Department at 714-993-8258.
