An 18-year-old woman has been seriously injured after a Fountain Valley car crash involving another teenage driver, according to a news report.
Authorities said that the woman was driving her Ford Focus on Rose Avenue in Fountain Valley when she collided with a Mazda SUV driven by a 17-year-old girl who was driving north on Bushard. The 18-year-old was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange with severe head injuries.
Fountain Valley police said they did not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing. Officers noted that construction is taking place in the area of the crash, which may have been a factor. The 17-year-old driver was uninjured.
