Three women from Riverside — including a mother and daughter — have died in a wrong-way collision on I-10 near Phoenix, Arizona when returning home from watching Angels spring training games.
The victims were identified as Christine Bradbury, 31, a Riverside County Deputy Probation Officer; her mother Susan Bradbury, 55, a supervisor at Coco’s restaurant in Rialto; and Caitlin Cascella, 31, an English teacher at Heritage High School in Menifee.
According to police reports, Dana Michael Cavanaugh, 49, of Washington, Utah, entered the freeway the wrong way using an exit ramp and struck the vehicle carrying the three women head-on. Cavanaugh was hospitalized with injuries, and was later arrested on suspicion of murder. Investigators are trying to determine if he was driving impaired at the time of the deadly crash.
