An 85-year-old woman drove her 2001 Cadillac Deville through the plate glass window of a Mission Viejo bicycle shop, causing three minor injuries, according to a news report.
Authorities said that the woman and her granddaughter were pulling into a handicapped parking space when the woman accidently hit the gas instead of the brake, sending the Deville crashing through the front window of Rock N’ Road Cyclery on Santa Margarita Parkway. The Deville traveled through the entire store before hitting a back wall.
Investigators said that two people inside the store were hit by glass shards and another person complained of a knee injury. The woman and her granddaughter were not injured, and no major structural damage to the building was reported.
