An unidentified woman believed to be in her 50s was seriously hurt in a Santa Ana hit-and-run pedestrian accident, according to a news report.
Santa Ana police said that the woman was walking north on the west sidewalk on Bristol Street and had started to cross at Elder Avenue when a driver traveling east on Elder hit her. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Police found the woman unconscious in the street and she was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana with serious head trauma.
Police are asking any witnesses to the pedestrian accident to call 714-245-8214.
