A one-year-old Buena Park boy was airlifted to a trauma center after sustaining serious injuries when he fell from a second-story apartment window, according to a news report.
Police officers and firefighters responded to reports of a boy falling from the second story of an apartment complex in Buena Park, and transported the victim to a Cypress College parking lot, where he was airlifted to UCI Medical Center in Orange. Authorities say he sustained skull and nasal fractures in the fall.
Investigators said that they believe the boy fell approximately 15 feet after pushing against a window screen when he was playing with his siblings on a bed near the window. Investigators from the Buena Park Police Dept. and child protective services are continuing the investigation into the accident.
