A three-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from No. 2 Blue Lake South in Irvine, according to a news report.
Orange County Fire Authority officials said that the unidentified toddler was pulled unconscious from the lake that is operated by the South Lake Beach Club in the Woodbridge neighborhood in Irvine. He was taken to Hoag Hospital and then transferred to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where he remains in critical condition.
So far this year in Orange County, there have been 10 drowning deaths and 14 near-drownings, according to the report.
