Wednesday morning, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that a 71-year-old man was found dead from an apparent hit-and-run in the city of Fallbrook.
Police were alerted about a body found lying in the road near East Mission Road and North Vine Street. at about 5 a.m..
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) have stated that they are currently investigating the fatal pedestrian accident as a hit-and-run perpetrated while the man was trying to cross the road.
The victim’s name was not immediately released, but we will update here once it has been confirmed.
The CHP have a description of the vehicle which may have been involved and is described as a 1990s or early 2000s white Chevrolet Suburban or GCM Yukon XL
Armando Jimenez, a local business owner, spoke to FOX 5 News describing the E. Missions Road as dangerous in that area. “I have been here for more than 10 years and I have seen many accidents,”
