Twenty-four-year-old Alyssa Alexus Contreras was killed in a four-vehicle crash on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Norwalk on Wednesday, February 5.
According to police, the deadly car crash was reported just south of Rosecrans Avenue about 3:45 a.m.
A preliminary investigation determined Alyssa Alexus Contreras of La Puente was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on the San Gabriel River Freeway when her car struck the concrete center divider and came to rest in lanes of traffic where it was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck and then a Honda Accord.
Contreras’ vehicle came to rest on its roof and was then struck by a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Tragically, Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The driver of the Honda Accord, identified as Jose O. Estrada, 42, of Pico Rivera, was taken to a hospital with major injuries and the driver of the pickup truck, Jonathan J. Villalpando, 28, of Fontana, was hospitalized with minor injuries, the CHP said. The driver of the Chrysler, Milton Max Marquardt, 46, of Ontario, was not injured.
