Tien Chou was struck by a sport utility vehicle while he was crossing in the 2400 block of West Broadway in an Anaheim residential neighborhood. Authorities said that Chou was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident, and that the investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident continues.
According to police, Chou was taken to Anaheim Regional hospital after the accident. He was then airlifted to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died shortly after arrival. The driver of the Honda SUV has not yet been charged in the accident.
