A multi-vehicle crash in Tustin Sunday along the Santa Ana (5) Freeway has sent at least one person to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The collision, which occurred at 2:15 a.m. near the Red Hill Avenue onramp, according to California Highway Patrol logs, ensnared several vehicles and left debris strewn across the freeway.
When first responders arrived, they found four to five vehicles involved in the multi-vehicle car accident. Video from the scene showed at least one person was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
A blue Porsche, a Honda sedan and a Mini Cooper Countryman were among the vehicles with extensive damage.
As of this writing, CHP officers are awaiting the results of a blood test, and the total number of vehicles involved in the pile-up had grown to eight or nine. We will update this report as more information is made available.
