70-year-old Barbara Front was arrested Wednesday having been suspected of killing a bicyclist in Huntington Beach while driving an SUV under the influence.
According to police, the Huntington Beach Police Department was called at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday to Pacific Coast Highway, north of Admiralty Drive, where they learned a black 2018 Toyota RAV4 had struck a bicycle.
Police determined that the RAV4 was traveling southbound on Pacific Coast Highway and struck the bicyclist traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the roadway, north of Admiralty Drive.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where he tragically died of his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4, who police identified as Barbara Front, of Huntington Beach, remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
