Quonia Singleton was tragically killed Saturday, Feb. 29, when she was struck by a big rig on the 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano.
While the fatal big rig crash is still under investigation, police believe that Singleton stopped her car on the right shoulder and got out before being fatally struck by the big rig. Police also stated that they currently do not know why the Singleton stopped her vehicle.
The deadly big rig crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. south of Camino Capistrano. First responders found a jackknifed big rig in the center divider, blocking the left three lanes, before locating the the injured woman. She was rushed to a local hospital where she tragically perished.
