Chandra Woods was killed and Marcus Reeves was injured in a fatal traffic accident on the 91 Freeway in Corona, at 2:40 a.m. on May 4.
Woods (37) and Reeves (27), both of Victorville, had come to stop in the slow lane of the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway east of Maple Street when they were struck from behind by Hino box truck.
Chandra Woods was the driver of the 2020 Toyota Camry that was hit. It is not currently known why she brought the vehicle to a stop but preliminary investigations suggest that the Camry had stalled.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the tragic truck accident to find Woods gravely injured and Reeves moderately injured. The box truck driver was uninjured.
The fatal truck accident remains under investigation.
