A Lake Forest man waiting outside his disabled vehicle was struck and killed on I-5 in Santa Ana, according to a news report.
The California Highway Patrol said that Juan Cuevas-Camano, 22, was involved in a minor crash in a southbound lane of I-5 near North Grand Avenue in Santa Ana. He was waiting near his disabled vehicle when he was hit by a Toyota SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota SUV — identified as a 59-year-old woman — suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No arrests or citations were issued.
