A man suffered critical injuries from flying glass after a woman crashed her car into a Stanton doughnut shop, according to a news report.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported that Lori Wertz, 53, a New Mexico resident, was turning into the parking lot of the Donut King and Water shop on Katella Avenue in Stanton when she crashed her car into the shop’s front window. A man inside the shop was hit by flying glass, and suffered a large cut to his right forearm. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange in critical condition.
Investigators said that Wertz was not injured in the crash; an investigation is underway to determine if she should be cited in the incident.
