Eric Williams, 41, has died after he was hit by a car in a Newport Beach pedestrian accident, according to a news report.
Newport Beach police said that Williams was crossing the Pacific Coast Highway at Superior Avenue when he was hit by a Mercedes sedan. He was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he was pronounced dead.
The Mercedes driver stayed at the scene to be interviewed by police, who said that alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the fatal pedestrian accident. No other details were immediately available and the investigation is ongoing.
