A 51-year-old Foothill Ranch man has died following a two-car collision caused by one of the drivers running a red light, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Gregg Wiles was killed when the Chrysler sedan he was driving collided with a Nissan Altima on Portola Parkway and Pauling in Lake Forest. He was pronounced dead at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. The other driver, a 56-year-old Foothill Ranch woman, was treated for minor injuries.
An Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said that it appeared one of the drivers went through a red light, but did not believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
