A 58-year-old Hemet man has been killed in a deadly two-car crash at East Florida Avenue and North Lake Street in Hemet.
Hemet police said that Robert Sheldon was driving a 1975 Volkswagen Beetle west on East Florida Avenue when a GMC Yukon attempting to make a left turn from East Florida Avenue onto North Lake Street collided with the Volkswagen. Sheldon was taken to Hemet Valley Medical Center, where he later died.
The 47-year-old driver of the GMC Yukon was not injured and police said that neither alcohol nor drugs were involved in the incident, which is still under investigation.
