The Orange County coroner’s office released the name of a motorcyclist tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Orange.
Sixty-eight-year-old Ira Bushinsky was a Garden Grove resident, according to the coroner’s office.
The fatal motorcycle crash occurred about 5:40 a.m. Friday, September 3, on the northbound 55 Freeway near Katella Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Bushinsky was in the No. 1 lane when a vehicle reportedly caused his motorcycle to fall, ejecting him onto the roadway, where he was run over by a 2019 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old Riverside woman. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
