A 21-year-old Irvine man has been killed in an Orange bicycle accident after he was hit by a suspected drunk driver, according to a news report.
The California Highway Patrol said that Joseph Robinson was riding his bicycle south on the shoulder of Santiago Canyon Road near Loma Ridge when Sommer Gonzales, 18, of Tustin, make an unsafe turn in her SUV and hit him. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gonzales left the scene of the fatal bicycle accident and was later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and felony hit and run.
