Isadora Stabel, 20, of Irvine, was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash that took place at the intersection of Main Street and Culver Drive in Irvine August 22.
Police report that 40-year-old Antonio Calixto Navarrete of San Clemente was driving a Ford F-150 when he collided with a black Hyundai Elantra at around 8:45 p.m.
Stabel, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, was rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, where she was tragically pronounced deceased.
Navarrete fled the scene after the crash but was located by the police a short distance from the crash scene. Police arrested Navarrete on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, driving under the influence and murder.
The crash remains under investigation.
