A car struck and killed pedestrian John Martinez while he was crossing Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach late Sunday.
According to police, Martinez, a resident of Huntington Beach, was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he tragically died as a result of his injuries.
The black Toyota Camry involved in the fatal pedestrian crash was headed north on Beach at the time. The 42-year-old Hemet woman driving the car was cooperative with investigators, and they do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
