A 31-year-old Mission Viejo man riding a motorcycle in Huntington Beach was killed following a collision with a pickup truck on Wednesday, September 26.
Huntington Beach police officers pulled up to the intersection of Slater Avenue and Morgan Lane at approximately 5:13 p.m. to find a tragic scene. Beneath a severely damaged 2014 Chevrolet Silverado lay a crumpled 2008 red Ducati motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was found lying unresponsive nearby where he would tragically be pronounced dead.
The driver of the Silverado pickup truck, a 71-year-old man from Huntington Beach, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
An investigation into the fatal motorcycle accident is currently underway and police asking for help from anyone who might have footage of the accident. They are also soliciting information from anyone who may have witnessed the Huntington Beach motorcycle crash.
