A 24-year-old male motorcyclist from Mission Viejo was tragically killed Monday following a crash with an SUV in Fountain Valley.
The motorcycle accident involved a 2001 Harley-Davidson Sportster and a 2019 Chevrolet Trax. It occurred near the intersection of Bushard Street and Talbert Avenue at 11:24 a.m. The motorcyclist, who is yet to be identified, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
A 91-year old man from Corona was behind the wheel of the SUV involved in the collision. He was interviewed by police and later released. Preliminary evidence does not suggest that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, police said.
The motorcycle accident is currently under investigation.
