Jessica Jaynee Jenkins and her dog were tragically struck and killed by an SUV in Anaheim on Sunday, August 28.
According to Anaheim police, officers were sent to Euclid Street near Cris Avenue at approximately 9:25 p.m. Sunday on reports of a pedestrian accident.
Officers arrived to find a 43-year-old female suffering from major injuries, and a deceased dog in the southbound lanes of Euclid Street. The female pedestrian, who was later identified as Jessica Jaynee Jenkins of Fullerton, was rushed to a local trauma center where she was tragically pronounced dead.
The 22-year-old man who was driving the Dodge SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
