An unidentified pedestrian struck and killed by a alleged drunk driver, Lizbet Diaz on Saturday, November 9th at the intersection of Dunlap Drive and San Jacinto Avenue.
According to Riverside at approximately 7:15 p.m. police, Lizbet Diaz, 27, was driving eastbound on San Jacinto Avenue at a high rate of speed when he slammed into two parked vehicles and a yet to be identified pedestrian walking on the eastbound shoulder of San Jacinto Ave. Sadly, the unidentified pedestrian was declared dead at the scene of the car accident.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene and determined alcohol to be a factor in the fatal pedestrian accident. Diaz was then arrested on charges of suspicion of DUI causing injury or death.
