A driver struck and killed Lisa Underhill of Huntington Beach as she used a crosswalk to cross a street in Stanton on Sunday, January 16.
According to police, Underhill, 62, was walking in a crosswalk near Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. when a driver appears to have fatally struck her.
Police believe the vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run was likely a 2007 to 2009 Toyota Camry.
Images of the vehicle were not available Sunday. Detectives had not yet been able to gather any security camera footage, if any, from nearby stores.
Detectives were searching for anyone who might have seen the alleged hit-and-run or a vehicle fleeing the area around the time of the crash and asked anyone with information about the crash and the woman’s death to call the Sheriff’s Department at (714) 628-7170.
