A 33-year-old Ontario woman has been killed and her passenger was injured in a single-car accident in Rancho Cucamonga.
According to Rancho Cucamonga police, a Ford Mustang traveling west on 6th Street suddenly accelerated up to 70 mph for unknown reasons, left the roadway, crashed into several trees and overturned. The driver, identified as Niesha Lanee Johnson, 33, of Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, Jerrell Bailey of Rancho Cucamonga, was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the fatal accident is being investigated by the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
