An unidentified man has been injured after being involved in a motorcycle accident on I-405 in Costa Mesa, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The California Highway Patrol said that the motorcyclist collided with a Toyota RAV4 SUV in the southbound HOV lane of I-405 near the Harbor Boulevard off-ramp in Costa Mesa. The impact knocked the rider off his motorcycle and he landed near the center divider.
Several cars stopped to assist the injured man, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
