Riley Sullivan and Rex Devenny were killed and a third man injured when their car hit a tree in San Juan Capistrano on Sunday night, Jan. 29.
First responders arrived at the area of Rancho Viejo and Malaspina roads, just east of the 5 Freeway, at approximately 10 p.m. to find Sullivan and Devenny had died in the front seats of a sedan.
A third man, who was in the back seat, was rushed to Mission Hospital in critical condition.
According to police, the driver was identified as Riley Hans Sullivan, 21, of Creston, northeast of Morro Bay, and the other front passenger was identified as Rex Aziz Devenny, 19, of San Juan Capistrano.
Investigators are currently looking into the cause of the fatal car crash.
