A vehicle struck two pedestrians in Santa Ana, killing one and critically injuring the other on Sunday, June 5.
According to police, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of 1st Street. The pedestrians were crossing 1st Street when they were hit by a vehicle that was traveling west.
One of the pedestrians was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the other to a hospital.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities report that the motorist was not suspected of driving under the influence.
