A 25-year-old Trabuco Canyon man died on New Year’s Day, 17 days after being struck by a car while riding his bike in Rancho Santa Margarita.
Chandler Espinoza was hit at approximately 3:40 pm on December 15 while he was riding on a street. He was taken to a hospital and being treated for his injuries where he later died.
According to a Caring Bridge website profile set up in tribute to Espinoza, he was on his way to work when struck. The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
