The drivers of two SUVs suffered moderate injuries following a collision in Newport Beach, according to a news report.
Newport Beach police said that a silver Range Rover and a black Jeep collided at the intersection of Jamboree Road and University Drive. Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and had to be removed by Newport Beach fire crews.
The unidentified drivers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
