One person was killed and four others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that ignited a small fire in a Riverside on the morning of July 27.
Police report that the collision happened just before 1 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway between Van Buren Boulevard and Adams Street.
Among the injured was motorcyclist Christopher Le, who narrowly escaped death after he was thrown from his motorcycle after striking one of the wrecked cars.
Video shot by a witness of the accident shows cars and trucks barely missing Le.
David Pride of San Bernardino, who caught the entire collision on camera, helped rescue Le.
Fire authorities said the accident ignited ivy along the freeway’s sound wall and crews managed to knock down the flames before they reached any homes.
The cause of the fatal car crash is currently under investigation.
