A 61-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was involved in a Seal Beach pedestrian accident, according to a news report.
Seal Beach police said that the unidentified woman was hit in the parking lot of the Leisure World senior community near Pelham Road and St. Andrews Drive. She was walking through a carport when a car attempting to park hit her.
The victim suffered severe head and torso injuries and was taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital in critical condition. The driver — a 68-year-old man who lives at Leisure World — was questioned by police, who said they do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the pedestrian accident.
