A woman was hit and killed by a trolley car in Lemon Grove Wednesday, November 20.
The San Diego MTS trolley struck the woman at about 3:45 p.m. near the Lemon Grove Avenue and Massachusetts Ave. stop, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. woman was reportedly waiting for a train when an eastbound train struck and dragged her about 100 yards. First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The cause of the deadly crash was under investigation.
The MTS Orange Line was closed between the Encanto / 62nd and Spring Street Stations for the ensuing police investigation.
