Rhonda Bird, 59, of Orange was identified yesterday by the Orange County coroner’s office as the woman killed in the August 12 car crash on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
Bird was a passenger in an SUV that was involved in the fatal crash with a box truck and a semi at approximately 10:05 a.m.
The accident occurred as the SUV Bird rode in was headed westbound on the 91 Freeway near Euclid Street.
Bird succumbed to her injuries at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange around 1:45 p.m. that day.
There have not been any updates on additional injuries stemming from the deadly box truck – semi – SUV crash, however there were reports that the driver of the SUV was rushed to the hospital following the collision.
The car accident is still under investigation by the Westminster office of the California Highway Patrol.
