A 70-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a car while crossing a Huntington Beach street, according to a news report.
Huntington Beach police said that the unidentified woman was crossing at an uncontrolled intersection at Yorktown Ave. and England Street when the driver of a Toyota sedan traveling west on Yorktown hit her. The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said there was no indication that alcohol was involved in the pedestrian accident, and the cause of the fatal accident is still under investigation.
