A 53-year-old woman has been hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury after being involved in a Garden Grove car accident, according to a news report.
Garden Grove police said that the unidentified woman was one of four passengers in a vehicle that was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Suburban at the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard. The victim was suffered a head laceration and was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment.
The driver of the SUV was identified as Willy Gonzalez, 31. He had minor injuries in the crash, and was arrested by police for interfering with the investigation. Further investigation into the cause of the crash is pending the outcome of blood tests to determine if Gonzalez was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
