A 26-year-old Long Beach woman was seriously injured after her car struck a light pole on I-405 and burst into flames, according to a news report.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a CHP officer pulled the woman from her Hyundai sedan after her car became fully engulfed in flames. The victim was traveling on the northbound I-405 near Brookhurst Street when she struck and knocked down a light pole.
The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange with major injuries; an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
