A motorcyclist died in Orange in a crash with a driver suspected of driving under the influence of marijuana.
The tragic and fatal motorcycle accident occurred Monday evening, Sept. 20. According to police, the driver of the car was arrested after investigators believed marijuana use was a factor in the crash.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. when the motorcyclist was headed north on North Orange Olive Road and a Nissan headed south was making a left onto eastbound Meats Avenue and collided into the motorcycle.
Police stated that after being interviewed by investigators, the driver was placed under arrest on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
